·Are you able to boot to desktop in normal mode?

Method 1: If you are not able to boot to desktop in normal mode then I would suggest you to boot into safe mode with command prompt and run the following check disk command:

Chkdsk /R X:

Important: While performing chkdsk on the hard drive if any bad sectors are found on the hard drive when chkdsk tries to repair that sector if any data available on that might be lost.
