Metastasis formation is responsible for over 90% of cancer patient deaths, largely due to the fact that therapies are generally ineffective against detectable metastatic tumors. There is thus a crucial need to mechanistically understand the cellular, tissue and whole-body processes driving metastasis formation in order to identify effective therapeutic strategies. This conference will give an in-depth overview of our current knowledge on cancer, stromal and immune cell centred mechanisms promoting metastasis formation presented by world-leading researchers in the field.
Pacific Northwest Prostate Cancer Conference
This meeting is the primary opportunity for oncologists, hematologists and cancer related health workers to participate in a conference focusing on novel targeted therapies and other treatment advances which are changing the face of cancer care.
CCCO-2019 mainly focuses on current hot topics of cancer research and clinical oncology to accelerate the translation of cutting edge discovery from basic science to clinical level, and further promote international scientific cooperation, debate and exchange. It aims to presents a unique platform for prominent surgeons, doctors, academician, scientists and R&D leaders from pharmaceuticals to obtain and exchange information on advances in the basic research, early diagnosis and treatment of cancer, while considering both global and regional aspects.
Conference-Service.com offers, as part of its business activities, a directory of upcoming scientific and technical meetings. The calendar is published for the convenience of conference participants and we strive to support conference organisers who need to publish their upcoming events. Scope and Importance:
It may initially cause no symptoms. In later stages it can cause difficulty urinating, blood in the urine, or pain in the pelvis, back or when urinating. A disease known as benign prostatic hyperplasia may produce similar symptoms. Other late symptoms may include feeling tired due to low levels of red blood cell. Factors that increase the risk of prostate cancer include: older age, a family history of the disease, and race. About 99% of cases occur in those over the age of 50. Having a first degree relative with the disease increases the risk 2 to 3 fold. In the United States it is more common in the African American population than the Caucasian population. Other factors that may be involved include a diet high in processed, red meat, or milk products or low in certain vegetables. Prostate cancer is diagnosed by biopsy. Medical imaging may then be done to determine if the cancer has spread to other parts of the body. Prostate cancer screening is controversial. Prostate-specific antigen testing increases cancer detection but does not decrease mortality. The United States Preventive Services Task Force recommends against screening using the PSA testing, due to the risk of over-diagnosis and over-treatment as most cancer diagnosed would remain asymptomatic. The USPSTF concludes that the potential benefits of testing do not outweigh the expected harms. While 5α-reductase inhibitors appear to decrease low grade cancer risk they do not affect high grade cancer risk and thus are not recommended for prevention. Supplementation with vitamins or minerals does not appear to affect the risk.
Market Analysis:
Health care in Turkey used to be dominated by a centralized state system run by the Ministry of Health. In 2003 the governing Justice and Development Party introduced a sweeping health reform program aimed at increasing the ratio of private to state health provision and making health care available to a larger share of the population. Information from the Turkish Statistical Institute states that 76.3 billion of Turkish Liras are being spent in healthcare, with 79.6% of funding coming from the Social Security Institute and most of the remainder (15.4%) coming from out-of-pocket payments. There are 27.954 medical institutions, 1.7 doctor for every 1000 people and 2.54 beds for 1000 people.
