I recently bought a refurb'ed HP Omnibook 4150 notebook, which has both a touchpad and a pointing stick. When I bought it, it had Windows XP installed on it, and both pointing devices were working simultaneously. Being me, and not content to use software someone else had installed, I did my usual reformat and reinstall of Windows. Now, for some reason, if I have both touch pad and pointing stick enabled in BIOS, neither works. I do generally stick with the touch pad, but the pointing stick gives me a little more accuracy, and there's obviously a way to get it to work, right? I did try disabling fast initialization through device manager, and also checked HP's website for a driver, but this laptop's about 3 years old, and there aren't any drivers for the pointing devices listed, let alone for Windows XP. If anyone has the answer, please let me know. Thanks in advance.
