I just bought a new laptop and immediately made a Microsoft account - first Win 10 experience and was prompted to do so.

What I didn't realize later, was that my Skype profile (which is maybe 7 years old) apparently has a whole Microsoft account created on its own. I never paid attention to that, as I've always logged in with name and pass on Skype - it turns out that behind it there is a whole Microsoft account (to which I can even login online).

My question is - is there some way to remove that Microsoft account, but leave the Skype profile? I have a lot of contacts (including my Dad) and don't want to send them each new friend requests from my new Microsoft account.

If there isn't a way to do that - can I simply continue to use my old Skype profile? It won't interfere with my new Microsoft account that is active on the laptop and linked to Win 10, right?
