Bow Down
Serving as the lead single of TRAUMA, Bow Down is a fast, heavy song that is a little cliché, but it serves as good of an opener that we could have asked for, and it has that I Prevail sound to it. The chorus and breakdowns hit hard, and I have no real complaints about it.
9.5/10
Paranoid
The 2nd single of TRAUMA, released the same day as Breaking Down, gave fans a glimpse into the variety of the new album. The inverted chorus was interesting, but it got the message across. It wasn't a hit, but it wasn't bad either.
6.5/10
Every Time You Leave
The 3rd track is definitely the pop hit on the album, following My Heart I Surrender from Heart vs. Mind, and Alone off of Lifelines. Already a fantastic song, Delaney Jane's vocals add an extra dimension to the song. There's not much else to say about this track, other than that it is fantastic.
9.5/10
Rise Above It
The most cliché and cheesy song that I Prevail has ever produced. It reminded me of the entire album Unleashed by Skillet. It was produced well, the message was in fact warranted due to what the band had gone through in the past couple years. That will give the track some leeway, but it's still not very good.
3.5/10
Breaking Down
The 3rd single, released the same day as Paranoid, is a solid track with a deep message. The song brings awareness to depression and terrorism and shows Brian as he navigates his way through his depression, which is based on his own story.
8/10
DOA
DOA has a lot going on in it: singing, screaming, trap elements, and rock. And it sounds good. It actually sounds pretty good. The heavy ending of this song leads into the next track very well.

Gasoline
Definitely the heaviest song on TRAUMA, and there are few clean vocals. This song is fast paced, aggressive, and loud. Eric raps a little bit during the track, giving a faint impression of Linkin Park. Definitely a mosh pit worthy song.
9/10
Hurricane
Hurricane goes from 0 to 100 very quickly at times, and it is the song that bears what the band has been through in the past few years. With Eric's heavy hitting screams, and Brian's cleans, I Prevail has never sounded better. The song carries so much meaning and it sounds great.
10/10
Let Me Be Sad
One of the tracks with a solemn vibe, Let Me Be Sad, which features Eric's rapping and Brian's cleans harmonize with each other very well. A very solid track overall.
8.5/10
Low
This song is one of the catchier tracks and once again, Brian and Eric's vocals go so well together.
8.5/10
Goodbye(Interlude)
Albeit this song being a rap song, it feels like it belongs on TRAUMA. The chorus hits hard, and Eric rapping ability is on full display for this one. It's so different from I Prevail, and although it feels like it belongs, it just seems forced in a way. They try something different, and it works out well.
7.5/10
Deadweight
Deadweight adds another heavy, fast, and chaotic song to TRAUMA
8.5/10
I Don't Belong Here
This track finishes off the album with a slow, sad song that has a slight echo that enforces the title and gives it an empty and lonely feeling. Everyone needs a sad song from time to time, and this one fits well.
9/10
Final Thoughts & Album Rating
Overall a very solid album, but it begs the question: Was it worth the 3 year wait? Well, that's up to you, but here's what we think. The balance of sticking to their sound whilst experimenting worked well, and there's a song for everyone. I Prevail delivers the complete package here, and they are just getting started.
